Faculty of Education

Mission and Objectives

Mission 

The Faculty’s mission is to provide relevant education and training opportunities for  individuals in their quest for personal development and professional commitment. The Faculty aims to develop skills, knowledge and values that are critical in promoting excellence in teaching, learning and research. 

Objectives 

  1. To further the education of professional and other  personnel working or intending to work in the field of education at primary, secondary and tertiary levels and any other sector within the formal system of education.
  2. To provide a centre for advanced study in education, the educational system, its problems and opportunities, and the use of educational resources.
  3. To support, undertake and publish results of research or other studies and to encourage, in any other way, publications related to education and training.
  4. To provide consultative and co-ordination services for organizations and institutions involved in education.
  5. To co-operate and forge links with national and international institutions, agencies and individuals interested in promoting the development of education and related areas of knowledge.
  6. To contribute, in any other way, to the development of education in Swaziland
