PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER SCIENCE

Qualification and Experience	• A Ph.D. in Consumer Science Education or a Ph.D. in Home Economics Education or a Ph.D. In Vocational Home Economics Education. • University teaching experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Duties	Leadership and Management skills. Project Management skills. Ability to write winning proposals. Presentation and Communication skills. Computer skills. Report writing skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and to work under minimum supervision. Ability to network. 1. To teach professional Home Economics Education/ Consumer Science Education undergraduate and post graduate courses. 2. To supervise student’s research projects at undergraduate and graduate level. 3. To supervise student’s for teaching practice. 4. To conduct research and service activities in the department. 5. To carry out community service.

LOCAL CANDIDATES
Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing Allowance and a Medical Aid.
EXPATRIATE CANDIDATES
A two-year contract which will attract Gratuity, recruitment Allowance a Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses
