Qualifications and Experience: 

• A PhD in Agricultural Education or related field.

Duties: 

1. To teach Post- Graduate and Undergraduate courses including but not limited to:
    - Foundations of Agricultural Education;
    - Proposal writing for Agricultural Grantsmanship;
    - Governance;
    - Organizational Management and Strategies in Agriculture;
    - Monitoring and Evaluation of Agricultural Projects;
    - Leadership, Supervision and Management; and
    - Theory and Practice of Counseling.
2. To supervise Undergraduate students’ research projects, Masters theses and PhD dissertations;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To undertake administration duties as assigned by the Head Of Department; and
5. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms: 

Local Candidates
Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.
 
Expatriate Candidates
Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
