Qualifications and Experience: 

• A PhD and an MSc in Environmental Health Science/ Occupational Health/ Public Health/ Food Science or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years University teaching experience at Senior Lecturer level.
• Evidence of teaching and research as attested by publications. • Experience in curriculum development will be added advantage.

Duties: 

1. To teach Post-Graduate and Undergraduate courses in Environmental Health Science;
2. To be actively involved in the development and review of the Post-Graduate and Undergraduate programmes;
3. To develop proposals for submission to external bodies for funding;
4. To carry out advanced research in the discipline;
5. To supervise students’ research projects;
6. To mentor junior academic staff; and
7. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms: 

Local Candidates
Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.
 
Expatriate Candidates
Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
