Economics Education
Entrance Requirements:
All candidates wishing to study for any of the B.Sc. Degrees offered by the Faculty of
Agriculture must have completed the relevant three year Diploma Programme in the Faculty
of Agriculture, UNISWA, or its equivalent with an overall C grade or higher. The relevant
Diploma will be one of the following:
Diploma in Agriculture for B.Sc. (Agric.)
Diploma in Agricultural Education for B.Sc. (Agric. Educ.)
Diploma in Home Economics for B.Sc. (Home Econ.) or
Diploma in Home Economics Education for B.Sc. (Home Econ. Ed.)
They must also have achieved an average of at least 60% in the intended major subject for
admission to B.Sc. (Agric.); or Agric. Education and Extension, for admission to B.Sc.
Agricultural Education; or the combined average of the three subjects FN, FRHD and TAD for
admission to B.Sc. Home Economics; or the TAD subject average or admission to B.Sc. Home
Economics (TADM option); or the combined average of the two subjects AEE and HEE for
admission to B.Sc. Home Economics Education.
Candidates who gained a diploma under the old programme (the two-year diploma) in
Agriculture, Agricultural Education or Home Economics, may apply for admission to the
remedial year. The purpose of this remedial year is to allow these candidates to qualify
for entry into the degree programmes. Candidates must obtain an
average of at least 60% with at least a D grade in each subject during the remedial year
in order to be recommended to proceed to Year 4 of the degree. |
