Faculty of Humanities Admissions Requirements
(a) Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication
Entrance Requirements:
In addition to the general entry requirements, candidates intending to enrol for the
diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication must have:
EITHER
(a) A C grade or better in English and siSwati or any other language plus a credit in any
two subjects drawn from the following list:

minimum of one other subject from the above list plus at least two years of relevant work
experience.

(b) Bachelor of Arts (Humanities)
The Faculty of Humanities offers a four year BA Degree programme which consists of a
Foundation year followed by three years of courses in major subjects drawn from the
following:
African Languages and Literature
English Language and Literature
Geography
History
Modern Languages and Literature: French
Theology and Religious Studies.
Entrance Requirements:
In addition to the general regulations for entry into Bachelors degree programmes,
candidates intending to enter the Faculty of Humanities must have
(i) C grade or better in any two of the following
subjects:

(iii) A candidate who wishes to take Geography,
Environmental Science and Planning must have a D grade or better in O Level
Mathematics.
