Discovering and developing new friends and partrners

The new socio-political landscape of the global village has prompted the world’s most powerful economies to exercise very stringent approach in relation to financial aid.

Meanwhile, the developing countries require further assistance, to build capacity, create infrastructure and develop industries. In addition they have to compete with each other, for the already limited international financial resources. These trends command an acceleration of national viability and resourcefulness.

One of the most adequate engines for the success of this process is the advancement of the higher education. However in the context of a developing country, state support for institutions of higher learning is understandably mitigated by a host of pressing demands and priorities. The Government of Swaziland has been and will always be the major source of funding for the University of Swaziland. Consequently, the fortitude of UNISWA to remain globally competitive, to pursue its goals and to enhance its social responsiveness, irrevocably necessitates additional financial support.

The UNISWA Foundation recognizes the decisive role of utter mobilization of national commitment for the prosperity of the University of Swaziland and the nation. This is why, every effort is made to instil and nurture the culture of sincere willingness, readiness and philanthropic togetherness.

The Foundation strives to create mutually beneficial partnerships with the global community and with counterparts worldwide.
